The High Country KA Alumni Chapter (HCKA) is a community of proud Kappa Alpha Order alumni united by a shared bond of brotherhood, tradition, and lifelong commitment to the values of our Order.
Formed in 2025 by a group of Appalachian State – Delta Psi alumni, HCKA was created to strengthen the connection between alumni, the active chapter, and the broader KA network. Our members include KAs from the High Country and beyond, all united by the experiences and friendships we built through the fraternity.
Our purpose revolves around two main points that define what HCKA stands for:
Supporting the Active Chapter
We aim to support the KA Chapter at Appalachian State University through mentorship, guidance, and engagement. This includes attending alumni functions, offering career and internship assistance, helping brothers understand the lifelong relevance of KA, and providing financial support when possible.
Strengthening Alumni Brotherhood
We work to bring together all generations of Delta Psi brothers — and other KAs — in fellowship. Our goal is to help alumni maintain the friendships built during college while creating new bonds with brothers from different eras. You’ll be surprised how quickly and meaningfully connections form when rooted in our shared fraternal values.
Our mission is simple:
To support the active Delta Psi Chapter and to strengthen relationships among KA alumni near and far.
Whether you still live in Boone, North Carolina, or have carried your KA experience across the country, HCKA serves as a home for continued brotherhood, service, and connection.
To foster a strong and enduring network of KA brothers that bridges generations — empowering alumni to give back, stay connected, and continue the legacy of excellence established in the High Country.
The High Country KA Alumni Chapter is proud to be an officially chartered alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Order, recognized by the national organization. Our chapter honors the values, leadership, and spirit of KA while building a lasting community for generations of brothers to come.
